PlaceTiles were created by Kristin Bowen in 1998 when, in an effort to add a finishing touch to guest tables at her wedding reception and provide a unique, thoughtful party favor, she resurrected an idea from the past ­ ceramic place cards.  Since then, the company and its product line has expanded to include a variety of fine erasable ceramic place cards called PlaceTiles and other accessories such as MenuTiles^™, CheeseTiles^™, erasable bottle stoppers, napkin rings, trivets, serving platters and gifts for the home.

PlaceTiles and MenuTiles may be used to designate seating assignments, buffet choices, menu options, table numbers, wine names or as message boards.  CheeseTiles are placed in the cheese or food being served to describe the type and flavor.  The erasable bottle stoppers can be used to personalize a gift such a wine bottle and also serves as a place card when on its side and a party favor to cork wine or olive oil.

With a special felt-tip marker, our erasable products are easily written on and erased.  They are ideal for hostess, bridal shower, wedding, holiday and housewarming gifts.

PlaceTile Designs’ products are distributed in select specialty gift, gourmet food, stationery and bridal retailers, as well as via event planners, caterers, interior designers, and e-tailers throughout the United States and neighboring countries.
